Building Statistics - National Model Codes

 



 

This building will try to achieve a LEED Certification rating and will therefore follow closely the LEED provisions as well as The City of New York Building Code (2008), the ACI 318 “Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete”, and the AWS American Welding Society “Structural Welding
Code”.

Design standards included are AISC-LRFD, LRFD Specification for Structural Steel Buildings (applied except on the lateral force resisting frame), the AISC- ASD  1989, Specifications for Structural Steel Buildings- ASD and Plastic Design (for the design and construction of steel framing in lateral force resisting system), and the ACI 318-89, Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete.

The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web-based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year-long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engineering.
